We have applied for debt consolidation only last week and awaiting the answer.
Our counsellar have given us a R18.50 per person per day for food, cleaning and toiletries, ect. I am left with R15 per person per day. Therefor R60 for a household of 4: breakfast, lunch, dinner(milk, bread, spreads, tomatosauce ....)
How much is the average of a groceries budget and can anybody help with a budget?

Not sure what the average is but my wife and I use about R1000 a month on groceries for us 2. Then we still need to purchase small consumables during the month every now and then.

I think you could come right with that +-R1800 p/m..

To start with budgeting first work out a monthly meal plan and by that you can see what you will need to buy. Then go price the items.

Dont buy things daily or weekly, plan month to month.
